Greetings Andrew Bell,
I’m here to provide you with a brief update. As most of us return to work following the summer break, children resume their studies, and with optimism, many have crafted their aspirations for 2024. We anticipate a promising year, driven not by chance but by the excellent decisions each of us makes.
Undoubtedly, global weather patterns have been tumultuous, with various regions experiencing record snowfalls and icy conditions. Australia finds itself in an unusual situation, grappling with what could be the wettest January along the eastern seaboard. Multiple weather fronts contribute to heightened humidity and increased rainfall. In discussions with the head of Queensland tourism, we acknowledge that Australia is currently in the midst of its storm season, a phenomenon not entirely unexpected as global temperatures continue to rise.
Looking ahead, this weekend marks The Event 2024, dubbed by the Australian Financial Review as the annual opening bell of the national real estate market. Created by the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, The Event holds a prestigious position in the Australian property market, serving as a litmus test for market conditions.
The current year’s Event has generated record inquiries and inspection numbers for properties. Despite variations from one property to another, the overall inspection figures are unprecedented. The driving forces behind the real estate market over the past four years persist, including population growth, migration from the South to the Gold Coast, and a shortage of available properties for sale. The fundamental principle of supply and demand continues to dictate real estate prices, and with demand outstripping supply, prices are on an upward trajectory.
Observing The Event 2024 unfold will be intriguing, given the substantial offering of properties available. For those genuinely interested in the real estate market, attending The Event provides a unique opportunity to gain insights, understand market dynamics, and gauge prevailing prices. Doors open at 10 am, with auctions commencing at 11 am. Additionally, the Gold Coast Home & Living Expo opens at 10 am, featuring exhibitors related to the real estate market.
In times of housing crises, it becomes imperative for everyone to stay well-informed about the market. While I’ll continue sharing valuable knowledge through my eNews throughout the year, there’s nothing quite like being in an auction room with an extensive array of offerings to sense the market’s pulse as we embark on 2024.
For those attending The Event with the intention to buy, pre-registration for bidding is available. Our agents would have likely communicated these details with you. For any last-minute inspections, please reach out to us on The Event hotline, the contact details of which are displayed on the screen. Our aim is to assist as many of you as possible in securing your new home, investment property, or commercial premises.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with as many of you as possible at The Event 2024, the premier auction event in Australia, taking place at Royal Pines Resort on Sunday, January 28th, starting at 10 am.
